African violets were a plentiful in our house when I was growing up. My mother had a way with plants and I remember bringing my small toys up to our indoor garden for jungle adventures. The soft fuzzy leaves of the violets were always were the adventurers slept. Violets always make me think of my mom, so it was not surprising to me that they often symbolize motherhood.
Created on a 6″x6″ wood panel, this one of a kind artwork was handmade by Alecia Miller through a process of layering in the background and utilizing the transparency of the paints to achieve the light and airy feel of the final painting.
The artwork has been sealed with a protective varnish and is mounted in a black wood frame, ready to display in your home.
