Late Bloomer is a small mixed media piece inspired by Evodia (commonly known as the Korean Bee Tree). We had one of these trees in our backyard and it was amazing. It bloomed late August when most other flowering plants were dying off. Because of its late bloom, it was a feast for the bees in our area. You could stand under the tree and it would sound like you were next to the freeway because of all the buzzing bees. Pure heaven!
Created on a 6″x6″ wood panel, this one of a kind artwork was handmade through a process of layering in the background and utilizing the transparency of the paints to achieve the light and airy feel of the final painting.
The artwork has been sealed with a protective varnish and is mounted in a black wood frame, ready to display in your home.
Artwork from this series will ship priority mail in the continental United States with a flat shipping/handling rate of $10.
