The black eyed Susan is sometimes referred to as brown eyed Susan, and always makes Van Morrison start running through my head. It has been the state flower for Maryland since 1918. It has been used in many traditional medicinal capacities, but care needs to be taken as only parts of the plants are beneficial and the plant as a whole is toxic to cats.
Created on a 6″x6″ wood panel, this one of a kind artwork was handmade by Alecia Miller through a process of layering in the background and utilizing the transparency of the paints to achieve the light and airy feel of the final painting.
The artwork has been sealed with a protective varnish and is mounted in a black wood frame, ready to display in your home.
Artwork from this series will ship priority mail in the continental United States with a flat shipping/handling rate of $10.
