Here’s my take for the Bright Owl’s weekly Zendala challenge. Be sure to check out all the other zendalas while you are there!
knot rickz, queen’s crown, birds on a wire, & japonica tangles
I am also sharing another ZIA piece I did this week. This one was inspired by a game my daughter recently made us play. She calls it the Sun game. One person is the sun and stands in the middle. Everyone else are planets and have to ‘orbitate’ around the sun. The sun has to spin around and try to tag one of the planets, who then becomes the sun and you start again. She likes this because it is a “Make Me Dizzy!” game. 🙂
Just a quick post to share my response to the zendala challenge from The Bright Owl. I had been wanting to do a piece with the Chainlea tangle, and this template seemed like a perfect fit.
It actually ended up reminding me of hops. Since I am not a beer drinker, I had to add Poke Root in the middle to give it a more Lambic feel. 🙂
A couple of new zentangle items for you today from a couple of different challenges.
The first is a monotangle, a design created using only one tangle pattern. I created this in response to The Bright Owl’s weekly zendala challenge. (A Zendala is a mandala made using the zentangle method.) Challenge 81 used a template made out of crescents. Purk has become a recent favorite of mine, especially for crescent shapes, so I decided to to use it for the entire zendala.
The second is a duotangle for the Diva’s weekly tangle challenge. This week she challenged us to use only the tangles Pea-Knuckle and Well.
I hope you enjoy and I would love to hear your thoughts.
